The 17th Weekend
The concept of moving out of the parents place isn't common among the Egyptian society. It was something that I really wanted to do, hence deciding not only moving out, but to Ain Sukhna, a costal town in Suez, Egypt.
Most of the people around me were opposing the idea of moving out to Ain Sukhna, as they thought I would be too lazy to go to AUC campus, and that the road will be dangerous. However the opposition that I encountered, the move was taken. The whole concept of moving out, resembled the independence that one should have, in order to know themselves more, try to assume more responsibilities, to be a better person, let alone having a healthier lifestyle.
On Saturday, April 24, and after being here in Ain Sukhna for 17 weeks, I still get the same vibes all around. The peace of mind that one has in this comfort zone is irreplaceable. The process of discovering new things within your own character is very interesting for self development, as you can get really in touch with yourself after the peacefulness around.
